Job Summary 

This position actively directs several of The Hatchery Entrepreneurship Center’s key campus-wide entrepreneurship and community outreach projects and provides managerial support to Hatchery staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Leads a wide variety of recurring and pilot Hatchery projects, organizing associated roles and resources and tracking progress of concurrent projects.
  2. Coordinates and conducts Hatchery events with a spirit of hospitality. This includes, but is not limited to, Golden Idea Weekend, FlightPath Summer Camp, and the Southern Entrepreneurship Program statewide youth initiative.
  3. Designs and manages processes to organize, plan, prioritize, delegate, and track project tasks within a team environment.
  4. Manages The Hatchery's social media presence including the development and distribution of content.
  5. Serves as a leading university ambassador for the entrepreneurial mindset, actively seeking opportunities to network with and build bridges among the university's growing community of innovators, entrepreneurs, and activators.
  6. Travels to conferences and recruitment events as needed and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an AACSB-accredited institution. At least 1 year of administrative experience within an academic environment and in support of community-outreach related activities. Comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders including students, faculty, and off-campus partners. Valid Driver's License required.

Preferred Qualifications 

Advanced degree in business, communication, technology, or a relevant field. Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset, as demonstrated through a willingness to pursue knowledge, skills, and opportunities. At least 1 year of administrative experience in event planning and management, social media marketing, or prototyping preferably within an entrepreneurial context.
