This position’s primary purpose is to provide financial analysis and reporting for the Lighting business unit. This role leads the expense forecasting process for the Lighting Sales and G&A functions and related monthly budget to actual reconciliations and analysis including providing accounting support through monthly journal entries and account reconciliations related to the assigned business functions. A successful candidate will be able to plan, communicate and manage to deadlines with the various functional teams within the business unit as well as corporate accounting and FP&A teams.



  • Supporting the quarterly and annual forecasting process, including expense management, capital, and staffing requirements for selected functions within the business unit
  • Preparing budget to actual variance, and various other spending analyses
  • Prepares monthly business unit financial reporting presentation by compiling data from multiple sources and providing commentary for VP of Finance.
  • Interacts regularly with directors and project managers across sales, marketing, R&D and other functions to ensure appropriate support of annual budget and quarterly forecast preparation.
  • Prepares daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis for the business unit executive management team as well as corporate and C-suite leaders
  • Plans and communicates appropriate deadlines to key business unit stakeholders to meet corporate reporting objectives
  • Works with other team members and groups throughout the Company to gain efficiencies and implement financial process improvements
  • Continually finds ways to add value to current reporting and required controls and processes
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business unit decision-making including customer and product line profitability and ROI analysis
  • Strives to standardize processes and reporting to enable
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for specific accounts within SG&A functional area
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned


  • Degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 5-7 years accounting and/or finance experience working in a finance role supporting a large corporation
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning abilities and organizational skills
  • Significant data modeling experience in Excel
  • Experienced PowerPoint user


  • CPA or CMA certification
  • MAC or MBA
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion software
  • Past financial experience in a publicly traded company
