Primary Purpose

Member of Asia Pacific senior management team and Global Finance leadership team; Provides Financial leadership regarding strategy, portfolio and risk management, proposal development, and active project management with a goal of driving profitable financial performance. Serves as a leader for regional Finance talent support and development. Works under broad direction of the Asia Pacific P&L Leader and Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverages Global Finance team to provide financial planning, analysis and reporting to regional and global management. Provides regional management with operating and financial data enabling them to meet targets and goals. Ensures that regional accounting, financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting is completed accurately, timely, efficiently and in accordance with regional IFRS as required, GAAP, and company policy. 
  • Direct and matrix supervision of regional members of Global Finance shared service organization, including partnering with HR in supporting the recruitment and career development for Finance professionals.
  • Partners with Global Finance Officers supporting Market Sectors, Solutions and Operations to develop and drive company financial strategies and direction. Ensures regional financial priorities and strategies are aligned with global priorities and strategies.
  • Commercial Strategies and Risk Management: Proactively engages in development and execution of commercial strategies supporting profitable performance, mitigation of risk, and effective cash management. Partners with Global Finance leaders and proposal and execution teams regarding commercial, legal, insurance, accounting, tax, and treasury matters. 
  • Client/Partner analysis and direction: Actively reviews client accounts and relationships and advises regional leadership on direction, strategy, and commercial approaches to maximize profitability. Accountable for financial due diligence, selection, and financial analysis regarding contractual relationships with critical suppliers, subcontractors, and partners in the region and engaged in ongoing oversight as needed.
  • Member of regional Proposal & project review boards to ensure project cost estimates are accurate and identifies risks and opportunities. Drives effective cash management & risk management
  • Works closely with global process owners to drive efficient and effective utilization of resources on regional projects and drive efficiencies through utilization of common processes and tools. 

Management Responsibility

Direct and matrix supervision of the work of others. Partners with HR and Finance Resource Management leadership in hiring, discipline, and pay administration for regional Finance professionals.

Education

Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Accounting preferred.

Experience

Typically 15+ years related experience; 5+ years supervisory experience required; Engineering or Construction Industry experience preferred. Experience with U.S. based global company preferred. 

Training

Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) preferred.
