Program Assistant - Critical Infrastructure Digitalization and Resilience Program

Program Background 

The Critical Infrastructure Digitalization and Resilience (CIDR) Project is a five-year regional program implemented by DAI for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)’s Bureau for Europe and Eurasia. CIDR assists partner governments and in-country organizations to work with key stakeholders and experts to assess cybersecurity gaps and priorities, make recommendations, and map courses of action to improve the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure and key institutions. 

CIDR operates in the Western Balkans, Black Sea Region, and South Caucasus, where countries in recent years have come under more diverse and complex cyberattacks. CIDR is currently working in Albania, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, North Macedonia, and Serbia. The program aims to accelerate cybersecurity workforce development, to empower organizations to identify and address cybersecurity threats, to strengthen cybersecurity governance and to facilitate the sharing of threat information. 

Position Overview

The Program Assistant will work closely with the CIDR/NM team on the management and implementation of work plan activities to achieve the project’s objectives. He/she will track project progress, help in general program and office management, assist in event management, monitor work plan execution, assist in budget preparation, write project-related reports and other documentation, coordinate and schedule project meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of the program’s activities by reviewing project documentation and a variety of records, progress reports, budgets, and financial expenditures.
  • Provide clerical support including mailing, scanning, and photocopying, ensure maintenance of the program filing system, document program activities, and reports;
  • Assist in the coordination of the exchange of information among the program’s partners;
  • Schedule appointments and meetings as directed and ensure that schedules and events are organized efficiently;
  • Organize and coordinate weekly scheduled program meetings and take meeting notes;
  • Maintain project events and calendar of important events and update all staff regularly;
  • Maintain project stakeholders’ contact details and ensure the contact list is up to date;
  • Follow up on the progress of action items and other tasks;
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the team in organizing events, training, and workshops;
  • Conduct research and gather data to support initiatives and encourage good decision-making practices;
  • As needed, support the Finance and Administration Officer in finance and operational needs;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor;

Reporting

The Program Assistant will report to the CIDR North Macedonia Country Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in donors funded projects is required
  • Organizational and general office management skills
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with team members
  • Ability to identify time-sensitive demands & inquiries and respond effectively 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English and local languages
  • Collaborative working style and team-player attitude
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to the team's success
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
