GENERAL SUMMARY

The Local Area Marketer is responsible for leading the community marketing in an assigned region. This position will increase brand awareness and drive membership and program adoption while working with the clubs to serve members and reduce attrition.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Understand Local Landscape: Understand the competitive landscape, both traditional (other clubs in the area) and non-traditional (e.g., mommy and me groups, running groups, etc.).
  • Community Management: Understand the pulse of each Club and its community and know how to reach specific targets within that community.
  • Localized Strategy: Develop and execute localized strategies (traditional or digital) that deliver upon outlined goals.
  • Brand Compliance: Ensure clubs have approved signage and other materials displayed as needed, using materials provided for campaigns.
  • Partnership with other LAM: Leverage best practices, collaborate with other LAMs to align overarching goals, communicate, and report on successes and opportunities.
  • Project Management Excellence: Maintain expert knowledge in managing an array of projects.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage assigned budget, ensuring project timelines are met and deliverables are achieved without compromise.
  • Liaison Duties: Act as the primary point of contact for Marketing within the assigned region.
  • Vendor Management: Handle vendor paperwork and invoicing in conjunction with the accounting, legal, indirect procurement, and finance departments.
  • Compliance and Ethical Conduct: Comply with the Company’s policies and perform other duties as required or assigned by your manager.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Communication Skills: Proficient small group presentation skills and the ability to foster and maintain cooperative internal and external working relationships.
  • Independence: Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working proficiently both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
  • Adaptability – Exceptional ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Computer – Ability to develop and maintain computer records in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software required by TBCC and regulatory agencies. Ability to utilize club management software programs.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing at the corporate or local level.
  • Must have exceptional knowledge and live within the local community.

EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in marketing.

  • This position deals with outside personnel such as residents and clients on a regular basis with contact in various forms such as in-person, phone and email.

  • Sitting and standing is as needed. 
  • It is necessary for the position to travel independently to property locations on a regular basis.

Estimated Base Pay Range

$75,000 - $90,000 Annually
