Designer for Dynamics 365 for Sales

Microsoft

At Microsoft, we have a clear mission and bold ambitions: Empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more through our technology and innovation. To make that a reality, our Dynamics 365 for Sales team is charged with crafting solution that enables sales people to build strong relationships with their customers, take actions based on insights, and close sales faster. Dynamics 365 for Sales helps sales people to keep track of their accounts and contacts, nurture their sales from lead to order, create sales collateral, create marketing lists and campaigns, and even follow service cases associated with specific accounts or opportunities.

Responsibilities

Your new UX group is part of a large design studio at Microsoft that's reshaping digital experiences for modern cloud-based business applications and services. It's an environment where creativity and innovation thrive, and where you can solve hard problems and make a real impact every day. From our perspective, this is the time to join. We are ready to grow, positioned to win, and are well on our way being the next big design team that everyone wishes they were part of.

This is a full-time position based in our Herzeliya office but might also include weekly travels to our Haifa offices.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Ability to create highly polished designs including prototypes, mockups, and other communication artifacts
  • Ability to quickly turn around rigorous wireframes and mockups in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Ability to scope and estimate efforts accurately, prioritize tasks and goals independently, and rapidly produce deliverables
  • Contribute to strategic decisions, working with leadership team, engineering, and research teams
  • Give and solicit feedback from others to raise the quality and craftsmanship of the product
  • Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers and content designers, overseeing the implementation of the user experience
  • Quickly solve issues with your cross-functional leads

Other success factors for UXers in our agile environment

  • Thoughtfulness: You're thoughtful and deliberate in your choices and able to articulate that on the fly across a cross-functional team, and occasionally, conflicting priorities and objectives.
  • Sales intelligence + persuasion skills: You've got the social intelligence and sales skills to understand (or explain) what needs to be changed, and why. You use criticism to spur insightful conversations, not a reason to be defensive or shut down.
  • A translator of tradeoffs: There's no perfect interface and no right answer. You're able to create different options and translate the tradeoffs between them in the context of business objectives.

Portfolio

A strong portfolio is absolutely critical for this role. Showcase your experience in UX and interaction design, particularly in complex systems where simplicity and ease of use were a major concern.

  • Design degree or equivalent experience plus 3+ years industry experience in interactive design, visual design, and/or information architecture.
  • Design and leadership experience in cross-functional environments.
