Soni's client is seeking an experienced Design Lead with deep expertise in Manhattan SCALE to lead solution design, configuration, and implementation efforts across warehouse operations.
This role is responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, efficient WMS solutions that drive operational excellence. The Design Lead will own end-to-end implementation delivery for assigned projects and serve as the functional authority across sites.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Implementation Leadership
- Lead full-cycle implementations of Manhattan SCALE, ensuring smooth onboarding and successful go-lives.
- Serve as the design authority, maintaining consistency, scalability, and best practices across implementations.
- Own project delivery from discovery through configuration, testing, and go-live support.
Functional Design & Configuration
- Lead functional design across inbound operations, outbound fulfillment, inventory management, and labor management.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Configure workflows, business rules, technical setup, and location strategies within SCALE.
- Manage customizations, patches, and version upgrades.
- Support RF/Mobile configurations.
Integration & Collaboration
- Partner with technical teams to support integrations with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) using APIs and EDI.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, integration, operations, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support integrations with automation systems and WCS interfaces.
- Contribute to reporting solutions using tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services and IBM Cognos.
Testing, Training & Optimization
- Facilitate and participate in UAT, training sessions, and go-live support.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and drive system optimization initiatives.
- Stay current on SCALE product updates and industry trends to inform solution strategy.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience with Manhattan SCALE in a functional or design lead capacity.
- Proven experience leading full-cycle WMS implementations or major enhancements.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Proficiency in SCALE workflow configuration, business rules, and technical setup.
- Working knowledge of SQL and system customization.
- Experience managing version control, patches, and upgrades.
- Familiarity with ERP integrations (APIs/EDIs).
- 3PL and multi-client site experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
- Certification in Manhattan SCALE or related supply chain technologies (preferred).
Compensation: $105,000 to $170,000 annually
Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
