Our team is on an exciting journey to develop world-class analytics for our organization. Aligned with our overarching global data and analytics strategy, we have established a data and analytics hub within the People Experience (HR) domain. The hub assumes responsibility for the development of data products and analytical capacities tailored to requirements from across the business with a focus on people.

What we offer

As a Data Technology Lead, your main tasks and responsibilities will be to:

  • Own and drive the technical strategy for our People Analytics team in close collaboration with the Head of People Analytics and central functions.
  • Manage the People Analytics Technology team, consisting of people with skills in data engineering, data governance and front-end development.
  • Help design, build and maintain a scalable architecture and infrastructure of our data products based on experience and best practices.
  • Partner with stakeholders at all levels from across the business to enable timely delivery of data and analytical products based on business priorities.
  • Define and improve ways of working to enable effective and manageable delivery and workload for the team.
  • Drive planning activities and own the backlog prioritization and execution.
  • Provide technical expertise to the wider People Analytics team and other stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

You are a person with a proven history of experience from the People Analytics domain, who has established high performing analytics capabilities in fast-moving environments. You are passionate about creating a data informed organization and work in an organized, methodical and professional way that benefits the team’s working climate and ability to deliver high quality solutions.

We believe that most of the following characteristics describes you:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate, collaborate and create trust.
  • Ability to convey and break down a strategy into tactical and operational steps that can be executed on.
  • Experience working with data warehouses and/or data lakes (Azure, Snowflake, AWS or similar).
  • Strong capabilities in SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar).
  • In-depth knowledge of data modelling, architecture, governance and data quality.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fundamental understanding of People/HR data and processes is preferred.

This position is based at Volvo Cars’ international HQ in Gothenburg.
