Technical Writer
Our large distribution client in the Vernon Hills area is seeking a Technical Writer on a contract basis. Work for a company that is customer-focused, eco-conscious, and has been in business for 30+ years. Details Below!
Position Details:
- Contract Opportunity, Part-Time with the opportunity to go Full-Time
- $20/hr-$26/hr, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, hours vary between 7:30am-4:30pm (Onsite) can be flexible with schedule. Some weeks there may be fewer hours of work and other weeks could require 40 hours.

Job Responsibilities:
- Make sure all writing materials are grammatically correct.
- Make sure all writing are easy to follow and understand
- Know and understand the products thoroughly.
- Have good communication with the team in a timely manner.
- Performance driven writer who is a self-directed and a self-motivated individual who works well in a team-based, fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Work closely with the marketing, creative, product development, and culinary team in order to support the accurate and timely delivery of all content; including all manuals, pamphlets, marketing content, and print.
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, and/or Communication preferred
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign program and MS Office.
- At least have 2 to 3 years of experience of being a technical writer or have experience writing professionally.
