Job Summary: We have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Manager for our Intellectual Property Protection division at the Walt Disney Company, based in our EMEA Head Office in Hammersmith, London.

The successful candidate will report into the Director of Intellectual Property based in Burbank. Primary areas of responsibility include:
  • Content Protection (a critical component that protect Disney Intellectual Property throughout production, post-production, and distribution supply chain)
  • Intellectual Protection Program strategy (determining a localized strategy for the EMEA region that addresses the needs of international business units, in line with global initiatives)
  • Ensure risks to Intellectual Property, and Studio Content in the EMEA region are quantified, visible to appropriate stakeholders and appropriate measures put in place to address risk in accordance with the central IPP framework
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate security risks related to strategic and high-risk vendors, and communicate vendor security risks to business leaders to ensure a clear understanding of these risks
  • Participate in negotiations related to Intellectual Property (/Content) Protection related contract requirements with Legal, Procurement, and third parties
  • Establish and prioritize third party and application security risk assessment activities and negotiate remediation of intellectual property protection issues with third parties
  • Communicate and present key third party security initiatives, practices and issues to business units
  • Establish, monitor and report Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators for the IPP EMEA Third Party Risk Assessment Program
  • Lead EMEA IPP Council sessions and EMEA Guardians community activities
  • Work with The Walt Disney Company IPP and Studio Content Security management and EMEA business unit stakeholders to plan localized IPP strategy, define objectives, and address content related controls risks and issues
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in other team initiatives including Policy Management, Training and Awareness, Content Protection Systems, Forensic Marking, and IP Breach Response
  • Study emerging technology trends and evaluate impact on current business, technology or projects
  • Establish strategic relationships with technology, operations and digital media departments/industry consortiums and vendors
  • Mediate and negotiate with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve complex issues around content protection
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in information security and / or security architecture
  • Broad technical skills in conducting network and application security assessments and ISO 17799/27002 based security assessments
  • Broad technology expertise with application, system integration, data, and/or infrastructure knowledge
  • Strong understanding of the following:
    • LAN, WAN, TCP/IP and security protocols
    • Vulnerability scanning, SIEM and common methods of exploiting vulnerabilities
    • Working knowledge of configuring and maintaining IPS/IDS, firewalls and ACLs (e.g., Palo Alto, Tipping Point, Citrix, Cisco)
    • Storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS, encrypted storage mechanisms)
    • Digital transfer tools (e.g., Aspera, Signiant, SmartJog)
    • Working knowledge of securing cloud computing and storage (e.g. Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, MSFT Azure)
  • Experience in the following would be beneficial:
  • Knowledge of studio IT systems, including production and post-productions environments
  • Thorough knowledge of feature film production and post-production industries, services, and workflows (e.g., DI, editing, visual/audio effects, encoding, dubbing, DVD/BD replication)
  • Experience evaluating physical security protocols at facilities
  • Certifications in one or more of the following - CISSP, CISM, CISA, CPP, CRISC, CEH, ITIL
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in CISSP or CISA / CISM
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration
