Bookkeeping is a universal point of pain for passionate entrepreneurs trying to pursue their dreams. They want to run their businesses, not do accounting, so we make that disappear–at a fraction of the cost of other bookkeeping services. While the appeal of bookkeeping may seem lacking, we genuinely believe that solving fundamental business problems is anything but bland.

Bench is post Series B, capitalized by a team of Silicon Valley and New York investors. We’re scaling fast and we’re not slowing down anytime soon. In just a few short years, we’ve grown from four co-founders to nearly 300 Benchmates. This is a unique opportunity where you will be more than a vending machine for deliverables. You will be a project manager. And a researcher. And a diplomat. It's a tall order, but you will grow immensely and probably do the best work of your life.

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the scaling of our paid marketing programs (FB ads, Google Adwords, etc)
  • Measuring results of existing marketing channels and optimizing campaigns to maximize efficiency
  • Creating reports and communicating performance to key stakeholders in the organization
  • Managing relationships with vendors and agencies to improve channel performance
  • Staying up to date on current digital marketing trends and new technologies
  • Sourcing, evaluating and testing new ad channels and technologies
  • Collaborating with internal teams to produce and execute one-off and ongoing campaigns.
  • Supporting the growth of our marketing database

What are we looking for in a Digital Marketing Specialist?

  • 2+ years of digital marketing experience
  • Degree in Business or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience creating and implementing successful programs for: paid search, paid social, display and content marketing
  • Experience using Google Analytics or other marketing analytics tools
  • Experience with budget management
  • Ambitious, proactive, and results-oriented team player who doesn’t take herself/himself too seriously
  • Marketing technology experience using: AdWords Editor, Marketo, Salesforce, Contentful, Google docs
  • Experience implementing CRO/AB testing tools across the marketing tech stack

Nice to have:

  • Google Adwords, Google Analytics, or Facebook certification
  • B2B Demand Generation and/or SaaS experience


  • This is a full-time position, and annual salary will be based on experience
  • We’d love it if you had a university degree in Marketing, Commerce, or equivalent
