This is an exciting chance to join the Global Securities Financing (GSF) Desk, part of the Global Markets Trading business. The GSF Desk offers securities financing transactions, including repo/reverse repo, securities lending/borrowing, and buy/sell back, for the IB&M global client base. As the product manager for Markets’ owned deposit products, the GSF Desk ensures these solutions are fit for purpose for IB&M clients.

As an Associate in GSF Trade Support, you will play a key role in supporting daily trading desk operations, collaborating with colleagues across multiple markets and products, and contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the desk. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic trading environment, supporting a global client base and engaging with teams across Sydney and London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage security rebalancing, settlement workflows, and resolve related issues.
  • Facilitate interbank transactions, including market opens and closes.
  • Book and reconcile collateral requirements and valuations.
  • Monitor and optimise inventory across custodians to enhance collateral usage.
  • Produce and distribute end-of-day pricing and rate information.
  • Perform control checks, escalate issues, and maintain desk documentation.
  • Assist with product management tasks and maintain standard operating procedures.

We Are Looking For

  • Experience in Fixed Income Securities Trade Support or Settlements (Repo product experience ideal).
  • Strong client service focus, commercial acumen, and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach and ability to work independently.
  • Solid understanding of Fixed Income Securities and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Proficiency in VBA and/or Python; knowledge of Murex is strongly preferred.
  • AFMA accreditation (or willingness to complete), bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Commitment to upholding risk, control, and compliance standards in a trading environment.
