Aspiranet is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Counselor to join our Fusion Charter & Stanislaus Academy Program team in Turlock, CA. This role will provide direct counseling and guidance services that support students’ academic success, social-emotional growth, and overall well-being.

In this position, you will play a key role in strengthening student support services across Fusion Charter School and Stan Academy, helping students and families access the tools and resources they need to thrive in and out of the classroom.

???? About Fusion Charter & Stanislaus Academy

Fusion Charter School and Stanislaus Academy Non-Public School serve students who benefit from personalized, relationship-based educational environments.

Fusion Charter School offers an independent study model for middle and high school students, focusing on academic recovery, flexible scheduling, and individualized support to keep students engaged and on track to graduate.

Stanislaus Academy, a Nonpublic Certified School located in Turlock, CA, serves students in grades 5–12 with significant emotional and behavioral needs who are referred through the IEP process when less restrictive supports have not been successful. The school provides a highly structured, trauma-informed setting with a low student-to-teacher ratio.

???? Position Summary

The School Counselor provides direct guidance and counseling services to students enrolled at Fusion Charter School and Stan Academy. This role collaborates closely with teachers, support staff, social work teams, and community partners to ensure students receive the interventions and services needed to succeed.

The School Counselor supports student development through individual and group counseling, family engagement, coordination of services, and participation in IEP processes.

???? Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to provide individualized interventions for students.
  • Serve as a liaison with Social Work staff and work alongside the Supervising Social Worker to support student needs.
  • Support coordination with SELPAs and local school districts (including Turlock Schools).
  • Provide counseling services to students individually and in groups while maintaining close contact with families.
  • Assist in coordinating student services with Stanislaus County.
  • Serve as a liaison with community agencies including Mental Health, Probation, Interagency Task Force, and others.
  • Attend IEP meetings regularly and support student service planning.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and participate in required school activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support school operations and student success.

✅ Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree eligible and Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential eligible (authorization in School Counseling). May be enrolled in an approved counseling internship program concurrently.
  • Proof of credential authorizing pupil personnel services in School Counseling through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
  • Meets all state-required conditions of employment (fingerprint clearance, Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid California Driver’s License, and clean driving record).

???? Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing with students, staff, and families.
  • Must be computer proficient and able to work on a computer up to 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 10 lbs., reach for stored materials, and operate basic office equipment.
  • Must have the ability and skill to drive a vehicle.
