Senior VAVE Engineer - Optical

  • The Optical engineer will work cross-functionally in supporting Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) programs including instrument system cost reduction, product design changes due to End of Life (EOL) and quality-based product enhancement for existing commercialized products.

  • The Optical engineer provides technical leadership in design projects of multiple optical systems/sub-systems through phase of investigation, definition, design, development, qualification and manufacturing transfer.

  • Design the appropriate verification method, and on the design of optical system for design verification and validation.

  • Work with cross R&D team, design Optical-Mechanical-Electronics structure, and corresponding method of Assembly and inspection method.

  • Tolerance analysis and optimization design of optical systems, identify each optical component tolerances.

  • Designing documentation management, responsible for editing and review of technical documentation of the optical parts in various stages of the project preparation and review.

  • Transfer design to production and solve related technical issue.
  • 将设计转移到生产线,并解决相关的技术问题。
  • Conducts root cause investigations and Failure analyses to solve reliability and performance issues on legacy products.

  • Creates all required documentation to support design change verification and adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Provide technical support to production and strategy sourcing team.

  • Organizes and actively participates in design reviews and project reviews.

Qualification任职资格:

Functional Knowledge 职能知识:

  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
  • Has a certain in-depth understanding of laser optical system design, thin film optics, imaging optics, and has practical design experience;
  • 对激光光学系统设计、薄膜光学、成像光学方面有一定深入理解,并有实际设计经验;
  • Skilled in the using Zemax or other optical software for optical design and tolerance analysis;
  • 能熟练应用Zemax或其它光学软件展开光学设计及公差等分析;
  • Be familiar with Solidworks for optical elements drawing;
  • 能够运用Solidworks软件进行光学相关元器件的出图;
  • Has a certain understanding of the processing process of optical components and the corresponding detection methods;
  • 对光学元器件的加工工艺及相应的检测方法有一定的认知;
  • Know the calibration and test principle of optical instrument (power meter, spectrometer, beam characterization);
  • 了解光学检测仪器(如功率计,光谱仪,光束质量分析仪)的校准和测量原理
  • Design for manufacturing: Ease of assembly, Cost of Goods, second sourcing.
  • 具备面向制造的设计经验:易于组装,成品成本和二次采购。
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills (Mandarin Chinese and English).

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
