Job Summary:

This internship provides an opportunity to work with sales & marketing teams to serve clients and generate revenue for Clear Channel Outdoor. Primary responsibilities include supporting the assigned AE and sales team with generating advertising revenue, prospecting, meeting sales targets, and renewing sales contracts. Intern will also research potential clients and sales opportunities.

                                                                                                    

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates, assists and works with assigned Senior Account Executive to generate new sales, maintain existing relationships, and grow Clear Channel brand and reputation.
  • Retains accounts list, prospects and develops new customer relationships; persuasively communicates strategies for meeting customer needs.
  • Prepares proposals for AEs, develops maps, and utilizes appropriate software to complete proposals.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by facilitating various aspects of the customer's account in cooperation with creative, operations, marketing and finance staff.
  • Determines project pricing and negotiates fees / services with clients with management review & approval, and under the direction of the AE / Senior AE.
  • Delivers proof of performance (POP) to clients.

Job Qualifications

  • Job shadows AE / Senior AE to learn the sales role, including driving clients through the market.
  • Communicates and coordinates with various other departments as needed, including Charting.
  • Completes other duties as assigned or requested by the assigned AE / Senior AE.
  • Complete online AE training in addition to on-the-job learning.Work Experience
  • 1-2 years of progressive sales experience (if possible).
  • Interest in business-to-business sales or pursuing a marketing / sales / advertising degree.

  • Collaborative and professional style with the objective of building strong relationships with diverse customer groups and vendors that generate sales.• Self-starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrated flexibility.
  • Able to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including delivering effective presentations.
  • Able to complete required math calculations (e.g, multiply, divide, rate, ratio, percent, produce / interpret bar graphs).
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and social media platforms.

Education

  • 4-year college degree in progress. Open to students in their Junior or Senior years.
  • 3.0+ GPA.

Other Requirements

  • Able to travel outside of the office at least 50% of the time for meetings and industry events.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
  • Internship length varies – 10-12 weeks for summer
