The Nasdaq Trading organisation is expanding our technology center in Bengaluru (Bangalore). We are looking for a QA Test Specialist - Test Automation to join our newly started System Regression and Integration Test Team.

With this position we offer

Join the System Regression and Integration Test Team within Nasdaq Global Technology. We work closely with different product teams to continuously improve product quality and testing. It is a new team so you will be part of this adventure from the beginning, but you will also be part of an extensive network of QA people working with our Trading systems in various locations.

Our QA Engineers are integrally involved in meeting our challenge to develop robust, high-quality software, with ever-increasing performance requirements and simultaneously contribute to improving agility.

Your role and responsibilities

As a QA Test Specialist - Test Automation, you will work in a team that consists of highly skilled and experienced test automation QA engineers and solve complex automation challenges. You will use the best in class tools (in house and open source) to achieve our goals.

Your responsibilities will be related to test automation in a DevOps oriented environment for a trading system. Including such as:

  • Continuously monitor, maintain and grow our existing automated regression test suite.
  • Design and execute automated tests for new features that are being delivered.
  • Continually review and improve our tests, test data and test frameworks to make our tests more robust and maintainable.
  • Plan, coordinate, and define test activities as needed in different context for e.g. conduct testing before releases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders like: QA Engineers, Developers and Product Leads, and Business Analysts in different product teams to continually improve quality and testing of our products.
  • Create test effort estimates, test plans, test specifications and test reports.
  • Participate in all the scrum rituals and ceremonies.
  • Implement automated follow up of key metrics to make sure we deliver exceptional quality and focus our testing in the right areas.
  • Actively participate and contribute with your extensive automation and testing expertise and knowledge in our QA guild.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trend in the QA.

We expect you to have

  • You are a multi-skilled, solution-oriented team player with a positive can-do attitude. You can work cross-functionally and internationally in a fast-changing environment. In our work things can change fast, so you are also flexible to changes in priorities.
  • You live and breathe solving challenging test automation problems but are comfortable performing manual and exploratory testing when needed.
  • Bachelor's in computer science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Substantial experience from QA and test automation.
  • Comfortable in multiple languages preferably Java and Python.
  • Experience integrating automated tests with a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience working in agile teams either using Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience building Test Framework from scratch.
  • Agile testing experience.

It would be great if you have

  • Experience in the trading domain or the financial market.
  • Experience in non-functional tests such as failover tests, performance tests and security related testing.
  • Experience in FIX or REST APIs.
  • Experience with Git, Unix/Linux and Atlassian suite.
  • A strong curiosity about financial markets.
  • Education Required: Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Experience Required: At least 6 years
  • Special Qualifications: Specialist certifications in QA/Testing methodology.
