TECHRISE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN PATHWAY (GETTYSBURG, PA)

Location: Gettysburg Plant

Shift: Day Shift — Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM

TechRise is Dal‑Tile’s internal development pathway designed to grow maintenance talent from within. This program provides motivated team members currently in Operator roles with a structured path into the Maintenance Technician 1 (MT1) position. Participants gain technical education, hands‑on learning, and a clear career advancement opportunity.

Internal Candidates Only

Applicants must currently be employed at Dal‑Tile and meet the following requirements:

  • At least 1 year in their current role
  • No safety incidents within the past 6 months
  • No active corrective actions for performance
  • No more than one UTOCA
  • Willing and able to work any shift after program completion
  • Commitment to completing all phases of the TechRise program

1. Amatrol E‑Learning Coursework

  • 22 online technical modules
  • Completed independently, typically within 6–12 weeks
  • Company‑covered cost
  • Limited on-site computer access may be available

2. Structured Job Shadowing

  • Shadow a qualified Maintenance Technician
  • Hands‑on exposure to plant‑specific equipment and processes
  • Must occur concurrently with online coursework

3. Final Technical Assessment

  • Required after completing coursework and shadowing
  • Evaluates technical readiness for the MT1 role

4. Final Technical Evaluation

  • Required after completion of 12 week on the job training

Participants who successfully complete all requirements will be eligible for promotion into the Maintenance Technician 1 role and will begin:

  • On‑the‑job training
  • A skills checklist with a mentor technician
  • Continued growth in troubleshooting and safety practices

Post‑Promotion Commitment: Team members must remain employed at Dal‑Tile for one (1) year from the start date of the MT1 role.
