About the role

Typical Accountabilities

  • Resource will report under Enabling Units Service Now Delivery team lead.
  • Carries out development in HR, Risk, Finance, Facilities Management, CSM and other needed Service Now modules
  • Contribute to the overall development cycle to deliver value and successful outcomes
  • Be empowered to lead aspects (e.g., demos/training/solutions) of the overall development to deliver value and successful outcomes
  • Support and lead ways of working to ensure the execution of the development is delivered in a fun, positive and energetic way
  • Have an awareness of the impact of the solutions you are providing to other areas of the platform
  • Challenge the norm, transform ways of working and stimulate new ways of thinking and ensure the customer is at the heart of everything we do
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
  • Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between collaborator groups by facilitating team member discussions, and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, including reason documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.
  • Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions.
  • Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define and implement test cases.
  • Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps.
  • Identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Building a trusted partnership with the Product Owner and Engineers
  • Overseeing the requirements collection and assists with effort estimates, where appropriate
  • Ensures reusable Knowledge is captured as part of project & enhancement delivery
  • Key contributor on the governance of customization versus configuration across SNOW community
  • Contribute to the test and release automation, setting up and maintaining automated test sets, partnering with the ECS Testing team

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Hands on experience in building HR, Risk, Finance, Facilities Management, CSM and other Service Now modules
  • Highly organized, diligent, and an inherent ability to multi-task
  • Strong knowledge in ServiceNow development using most of the ServiceNow tools and features such as Business Rule, Script Include, Client Scripts, UI Policies, AJAX, Glide Scripting, Java Scripting, Jelly Scripting, ACL, Angular JS, Widgets, Workflow, Catalog Development, UI Page, UI Scripts, UI Action, Inbound Action, Notifications, REST & SOAP APIs, Workflow Custom Activities, SQL, Database (Must)
  • Service Portal Development (Widgets, Angular JS, Server Scripting, Client Scripting, HTML, DHTML, CSS, Pages, Portal Configuration)
  • Integration of ServiceNow with external tools using Web Services & REST APIs
  • Experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various team members.
  • Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of a new business area.
  • Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various team members verbally and in writing.
  • Experience documenting such as reason documentation or business requirements summaries.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

Desirable

  • Degree or equivalent in computing/engineering
  • ServiceNow BA Experience
  • Biopharmaceutical industry experience
