Overview
- This position will be physically located in Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP**
The Warehouse Specialist I reports to a Team Lead or Supervisor. Responsible to receive, store, inventory, and issue Government Materials/Property and compile stock records in the Warehouse. Operate Material Handling Equipment to move product as required.
Responsibilities

- Count, sort incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
- Examine stock to verify quantity or conformance to specifications. Store material in bins, on the floor, on shelves, or in containers according to identifying information
- Fill orders or issue supplies from stock. Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
- Use system reports to execute tasks, adjustments of inventory counts and stock location changes, damage, or shelf life.
- Prepares daily receipts, Issues, and others as required by the Performance Work Statement, IOP’s or Work Instructions.
- Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, using labeling equipment
- Make adjustments to material carried in stock. May determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
- Move or transports material or supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck.
- Responsible for Physical Security of Sensitive and Pilferable Items and ensure they are stored in accordance with all Regulatory and local policy.
- Maintain inventory and other stock records, using computer terminal. Designated according to material, equipment, or product stored, i.e. Retail or wholesale items.
- Receive, store, and sort unserviceable equipment and supplies for disposal.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal
- Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in Logistics and warehousing
- Skills
- Customer service training
- Some warehousing experience
- Material Handling Equipment (Fork Lift Operation, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck)
- Microsoft Office
- Good math skills
- Able to record data accurately
- Working Conditions:
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures 130 degrees in the summer months).
- Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
- The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about ambient noise level.
- The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
- Physical Requirements:
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
