  • This position will be physically located in Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP**

Quality Specialist III is responsible for performance monitoring of program functional areas. Quality Specialist III perform audit surveillances of Program internal procedures to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of processes. Responsibilities also include gathering and analyzing data and recommending courses of action to improve performance or resolve problems. Ensures all quality systems comply with ISO 9001-2015 standards. This position will report to the Quality Supervisor & Lead(s).

Responsibilities

  • Conducts audit surveillances in functional or operational areas as assigned; Monitors program functions for compliance with the PWS & ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS); attend and participate in all applicable meetings.
  • Maintain trackers for ongoing construction projects (i.e. UCOs, LOTDs, etc.); maintain and update Quality folders/data on Share Point.
  • Prepares audit/surveillance reports; assists in root cause analysis (Gemba Walks) and development of corrective/preventive action plans as required; performs follow up audits to determine completeness and effectiveness of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure good performance by quality specialists I & IIs by mentoring, training, setting expectations, providing accountability, and performing evaluations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • High School Diploma
    • ISO 9001:2015 Auditor certification, OSHA, Six Sigma (or able to obtain).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of five (5) years in Contracting / DOD environment
    • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years auditing experience
    • Must have advanced knowledge of FAR, ISO 9001:2015 & DoD regulations
    • Candidate must possess expertise in one of the following functional areas: Information Management, Fleet Maintenance, Facility Maintenance, US Base Security, DMIAC Improvement methodologies, Project Management (PMI) Methodologies
    • Candidate must also be able to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must have basic experience with all Microsoft office products, such as excel, word, power point and database management.
  • Skills:
    • Candidate must be able to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and have excellent interpersonal skills
    • Candidate must possess expertise in one of the following functional areas: Information Management, Fleet Maintenance, Facility Maintenance, US Base Security, DMIAC Improvement methodologies, Project Management (PMI) Methodologies
    • Must have basic experience with all Microsoft office products, such as excel, word, power point and database management.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • May fill in as a Quality Supervisor or Lead as necessary.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
    • The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
    • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
    • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
