Job Purpose:
CIO Discretionary Portfolio Management team is looking to add portfolio manager that will be responsible for managing discretionary multi-manager portfolios, ensuring alignment with client objectives, the CIO’s investment strategy, and regulatory compliance. This role will contribute to portfolio construction, fund selection, and performance monitoring, while supporting innovation and client engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invest and manage client mandates to deliver risk-adjusted returns in line with DPM guidelines, ensuring timely and well-planned trade execution.
- Identify investment opportunities aligned with strategic views and contribute to idea generation and overall investment strategy.
- Conduct research, monitor risks and exposures, and ensure disciplined implementation and compliance with mandates.
- Provide regular portfolio and fund reporting, as well as collaborating with Relationship Managers to keep clients informed.
- Support client engagement through webinars and tailored updates to enhance transparency.
- Drive team initiatives and participate in projects aimed at strengthening DPM capabilities and adapting to market developments.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in portfolio or asset management, including analysis of mutual funds and ETFs. Knowledge of hedge funds and private assets is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with familiarity in discretionary mandates and multi-manager structures.
- Proficiency in tools such as Morningstar, Bloomberg, and Excel is a must; programming skills are a plus.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create impactful PowerPoint presentations.
- Collaborative mindset with leadership qualities and willingness to challenge the status quo.
