You will be leading the APAC Business Consulting Services team. This team focuses on 5 streams: Essentials & Platform Services, Data & Analytics Services, Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Services, Training and Learning Services, and Business Advisory Services. Your role will cover the daily management of the APAC Business Consulting Services, together with the shift towards value-added Business Advisory services.

You will engage with the Business Development, other Professional Services teams in APAC, and act as a bridge with Products. You will also ensure alignment in the region and across regions. Your goal is to lead the team in delivering high quality business consulting services that meet the market needs, together with exploring new services opportunities around advisory services. This role requires presales and scoping, strategic vision, capability of internal and external collaborations with various stakeholders and thorough understanding on the development of the financial markets.

What to expect:

1) Leadership and Team management:

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of business consultants within APAC.
• Set a clear vision, mission, and goals for the team, aligned with the company priorities.
• Oversee team operations, including knowledge management, presales activities, pipeline management, backlog prioritization, and team occupation.
• Foster continuous professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and tailored development plans for team members.
• Promote collaboration and innovation within and across the team to deliver high-quality business consulting services to clients.

2) Portfolio Management and Evolution, including presales:

• Oversee presales and delivery of business consulting services in APAC, including complex scoping.
• Collaborate with the BD teams, supporting them in payable and community-based business related activities.
• Lead and support the evolution of consulting initiatives with a primary focus on Instant and Frictionless Transactions, covering most of the Swift Essentials solutions.

3) Strategic Vision, Collaboration and Market Awareness:

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for the business consulting services within APAC, in accordance with Swift’s strategy, vision and mission.
• Liaise with key stakeholders across regions, and with Products teams for global awareness and alignment.
• Continuously evaluate and adapt the strategy to meet customer needs and market dynamics.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and evolving initiatives to provide valuable and relevant services to customers.

What will make you successful:

• At least 8-10 years of work experience with 3 years in banking and payments and/or securities businesses.
• Strong expertise in Swift Products, Services and financial services industry.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including listening skills to deal with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across regions. Excellent Influencing skills, smart with assertive ability to take position towards strong personalities.
• Familiarity with APAC’s evolving financial markets landscape and key players.
• Proven people and team management experience, with the ability to align the team towards the company strategy and foster teamwork in a highly remote environment.
• Demonstrated change mindset, or experience leading transformational change activities.
• Language: English and another Asian language preferred with good proficiency in writing, speaking, listening, and reading.
• Flexibility and availability to travel, on a needed basis (APAC).
