YOUR MISSION

Q-Commerce is the second biggest category inside Glovo and we are currently building a strong Local team in order to re-invent how consumers buy their groceries and any other product in their city making it more convenient and easy than ever before by creating a habit of ordering from Glovo Express.

As a buyer in Q-Commerce, you will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class user experience for our Glovo Express customers. Helping with the implementation of the right assortment and negotiating with suppliers in a manner that will meet the company expectations in terms of profitability and KPIs by creating healthy and strategic partnerships. 

THE JOURNEY

  • In coordination with your superior, you negotiate for acquisitions and develop further on the department of goods that have been assigned to you.
  • You will be the person of contact for suppliers and gather the relevant information they send to list new products or any changes regarding products that are already a part of the portfolio.
  • You will be the one managing the list of products that suppliers send in order to be a part of our active campaigns (Promo) and you will manage the information in order to send it to the Content team for implementation.
  • Be the owner and specialist of assigned categories, being able to move the needle and see the impact of your work on the business by managing the MFCs assortment from end to end.
  • Optimise and price the MFCs assortment for the assigned categories and prepare the documentation you get from suppliers in terms of pricing change (cost of goods)
  • Together with your superior you will prospect, select and negotiate commercial conditions directly with suppliers in accordance with the market requirements and company needs
  • Be responsible for offering an amazing shopping experience by categorizing & sorting the assortment based on user needs, working closely with the Content implementation team.
  • Analyze the results of your strategy, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing them with the team.
  • Assist the team in reviewing contract terms and conditions ensuring that they are as favorable to the business interests as possible, minimize risk and are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures ( with support from the commercial manager and legal department )
  • Offer constant support to Senior Buyer/Commercial manager in order to achieve targets and continuously improve KPIs.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • You have 1 year of experience in Category Management/Buyin/Purchase or a similar role in Groceries, Retail or FMCG companies,
  • You have experience in negotiating commercial agreements as a Buyer or as a KAM.
  • Very good Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, willing to test and solve problems based on data.
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth and high-performance start-up with a fast pace
  • Fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus
  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
