We are looking for a talented Senior People Support Advisor to join our team specializing in Human Resources for our People Support Department in Kitwe, Zambia.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Elevate the employee experience: Providing timely, high-quality first-line support and coaching—reducing confusion, increasing trust, and ensuring people feel heard and supported throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Strengthen manager effectiveness: Through practical guidance on compensation, performance, onboarding, separations, and disciplinary matters—leading to more confident, consistent decision-making.
  • Drive seamless HR operations: Deploying end-to-end solutions tailored to local languages, working times, and delivery channels—improving accessibility and reducing bottlenecks.
  • Ensure compliance and reduce risk: Monitoring legislative requirements and aligning responses with company policy—preventing costly errors and safeguarding the business.
  • Resolve conflicts proactively: Coaching and counseling on employment matters—improving workplace relationships, morale, and retention.
  • Enhance data integrity: Process consistency across HR systems and workflows—boosting reporting quality and enabling better business insights.
  • Build trusted stakeholder relationships: Across employees, managers, and HR teams—creating strong feedback loops and accelerating collaboration within the geography.
  • Champion continuous improvement: Identifying patterns in queries, streamlining processes, and sharing the voice of employees and managers—raising service standards and operational efficiency.

External Qualifications and Competencies

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong Employee Relations expertise: Build trust with employees and managers, apply employment and labor law accurately, and resolve conflicts with fairness and consistency—creating a collaborative, psychologically safe environment where issues are addressed early and effectively.
  • Compensation & Benefits mastery with compliance precision: Administer policies precisely according to plan design, ensure decisions are equitable and well-communicated, and maintain airtight compliance with local legislation and tax requirements—protecting the business and reinforcing credibility.
  • Data analytics fluency for decision-making: Collect, validate, and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data; use statistics and clear visualizations to surface patterns, root causes, and insights; translate findings into practical actions that improve HR processes, employee experience, and business outcomes.
  • HR consulting mindset with process excellence: Partner with stakeholders to diagnose needs and design holistic, compliant solutions; execute end-to-end HR processes with efficiency and accuracy; balance policy requirements with business realities to drive agility, consistency, and measurable impact across the geography.

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

Education/ Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources is essential
  • At least 8 years’ experience in Human Resources (mainly as a Generalist)
  • Experience with Unionized environment
