Job Summary

Lead the development and implementation of the Supply Chain strategy in the business unit, aligned to the business objectives Responsible for overall performance of supply chain function (including planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and customer services) within the business unit.

Roles & Responsibilities

Demand Planning, S&OP, Forecasting, and DRP 

Responsible for developing annual supply chain plan, including mix of outsourcing, external and internal capacities for warehousing and delivery in consonance with the annual business plan.

Based on Sales Forecasts, plan total inventories, production, finished goods, warehousing and transit inventories to ensure optimization and efficiencies in working capital deployed. Be responsible for building sophistication in the demand forecasting process

Ensure that the Inventory Plan adequately reflects SKU level production and corresponding SKU-wise Service Level in the market. 

Logistics and Transportation Management 

Manage logistics and transportation to optimize product flow, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. 

Oversee the transportation network to maintain high reliability and efficiency.

Ensure optimal route planning and the productivity of the trucks and manpower" 

Inventory Management and Optimization 

Optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and ensure regulatory compliance

Support business in achieving customer KPIs through timely products availability. 

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) 

Assume responsibility for overseeing and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices within the supply chain operations. 

People Management 

Identify and communicate key performance targets for supply chain team.

Drive development of high potential talent and create a talent pipeline for critical positions.

Monitor and measure performance according to policy by conducting employee appraisals.

Identify areas of development and draws up action plans to address performance gaps." 

TECHNICAL SKILLS 

Data Analysis & Operational Efficiency 

A strong capability in business planning and forecasting to set and maintain operational efficiency standards. 

Business Acumen & Conflict Management 

Requires strong conflict management skills, customer centricity, essential for maintaining seamless operations throughout the supply chain. 

Inventory management 

Optimizing the available space and managing logistics operations that include buying, storing, and distributing goods to destinations.

Work experience requirement

8+ years of overall supply chain experience in reputed Companies, in the relevant industry

Experience in FMCG organizations is required, distributor end in following areas:

Demand operations and planning

Logistics, warehousing, and distribution

Procurement

Customer services & Import Operations

Qualification

MBA/Post-Graduate Diploma in Management with specialization in supply chain

Engineering Degree with specialization in Industrial Manufacturing
