Four Seasons has flagged the Commis Chef job as unavailable. Let’s keep looking.

Commis Chef

We are currently looking for a Commis Chef to join our Main Kitchens team here at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London.

From three-course dinners to the perfect scrambled eggs, we need Commis chefs who are ready for a diverse set of dishes.

Two days are never the same when you’re a Commis chef with us. One guest might crave the ideal beef Wellington; another might yearn for a fresh plate of mochi.

Because our menus are designed around so many palates and plates, we have a huge variety of skills under one roof. Who wouldn’t want to learn to make labneh from our dedicated Middle Eastern chef? Or to bake the perfect scone? And the best part: if you have a signature dish – a traditional recipe from your home town, perhaps – it could even end up on our menu.

The Commis Chef will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To ensure that all food is cooked and presented to excellent quality as devised by the Senior Chefs
  • To work under the direction of the Demi Chef de Partie.
  • To clean and maintain all kitchen areas, including equipment and tools to Safe and Sound standards
  • To place food orders as required for the daily production

We offer our Commis Chef first world class benefits but not limited to:

  • Complimentary & discounted stays at our beautiful Hotels
  • Access to discounts and deals with over 200 popular high street retailers, including discounted gym memberships and travel deals
  • Westfield Health cash plan, with children added at no extra cost
  • Colleague Experience Stay in-house with breakfast included upon completed probation
  • 50% F&B & Spa discount
  • Friends & Family hotel rate and Spa discount
  • Season ticket loan & cycle to work scheme
  • Generous recruitment referral bonus
  • Free meals on duty & uniform dry-cleaning services
  • Increased holiday entitlement with Length of Service, up to 33 days annual leave
  • Life Insurance benefits whilst in service
  • Highly discounted podiatry sessions
  • Financial wellbeing, financial planning and mortgage advice workshops
  • Employee Recognition Programmes
  • Employee Assistance Program through Hospitality Action
  • Social, wellbeing, charity, and sporting events throughout the year
  • 1 paid Charity day per year to dedicate to a charity of your choice
  • Fantastic learning and development opportunities for all levels of staff
  • Excellent career progression with an iconic, luxury, global hotel brand
