Summary:
Broad Function
The Compensation Manager is responsible for creating and implementing the company's compensation structure, ensuring they are compliant, and aligned with business objectives in both the United States and Canada. This position ensures compensation programs are consistently administered across the organization and acts as key advisor to managers and leaders on pay-related matters. The Compensation Manager delivers accurate reporting, meaningful analysis, and effective compensation program administration.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Promote, demonstrate, and instill Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business
- Design, implement and administrate compensation programs, including base salary, short-term and long-term incentive programs to support Brock’s “people-first” culture
- Lead the design, communication, and administration of all Short-Term Incentive (STI) programs— including the Management Incentive Plan, Profit Sharing Plans, Field Incentive Plans, and Sales Incentive Plans
- Oversee model development for incentive plans, forecasting, scenario analysis, plan documentation, and payout processes across all Brock Group entities to ensure incentives align with strategic and financial goals
- Administer base pay and variable compensation policies and processes to support fairness, transparency, regulatory compliance, and market competitiveness, while strengthening a culture focused on measurable performance and results
- Conduct market benchmarking, compensation surveys, and internal pay analyses to recommend salary structures, ranges, and program adjustments that enhance the organization’s ability to attract and retain high-performing talent within the industrial services sector
- Develop individual compensation models and recommendations for offers, promotions, and retention actions, ensuring alignment with business needs, organizational values, and performance expectations
- Provide timely and accurate reporting, analytics, and insights to the business, including HR, Finance, and operational leadership, to support data-driven decision-making and performance alignment
- Partner with Payroll and Finance teams to ensure accurate processing of compensation plans and adherence to relevant regulations and internal controls in both the U.S. and Canada
- Support compensation policy development and process improvements, including the creation of documentation, communication strategies, and training materials that enhance organizational understanding and engagement with pay programs
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing responsive, knowledgeable guidance to leaders and employees on compensation-related issues and inquiries
- Assist with executive compensation administration, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, internal governance standards, and Brock’s commitment to integrity and accountability

- Strong understanding of labor laws and compensation regulations
- Ability to clearly communicate compensation strategies to all levels of the organization

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS platforms
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience and at least 3 years of compensation experience
- Experience in a large, multi-site organization — preferably in construction, industrial services, or similar operational environment — is strongly preferred
- Experience working in a global company of similar size and complexity is a plus
