Position: Finance Operations Continues Improvement Lead (Lean Six Sigma)

Reports to: Global Finance Operations Director

Location: Barcelona based

Adevinta launched a Finance transformation initiative to move Adevinta Finance to a new operating model, with Centralized finance functions (e.g. Finance Operations, Regional Controlling, etc.) and one global BPO partner with base in Cluj Romania and Bangalore India. We established our Global Headquarters in Barcelona when Adevinta was created in 2019. Here you’ll find most of our Central Functions teams, although we also have people based in our other main hubs in Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin as well as in our local offices across the globe too.

As FinOps Continues Improvement Lead you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality within the Finance Operations teams (Record to Report (RTR), Order to Cash (OTC) and Procurement to Pay (PTP)).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing deployment and embedding LEAN capabilities in the Finance Operations organization.
  • Designing, developing, and implementing the lean improvement roadmap, linked to the Finance Operations strategic priorities.
  • Supporting teams resolving issues, using the known lean and 6S tools and the CI methodology, Kaizen events and 6S projects to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory.
  • Ensuring kaizen events, Problem solving, VSM – 6S projects- are properly planned / executed / sustained.
  • Assessing key KPIs and engaging with the Finance Leadership Team and middle managers helping them identify opportunities where lean, 6S and CI tools can be used to improve such metrics and situations.
  • Calibrating, evaluating, and coaching the Finance Operations organization in determining CI capability Maturity.
  • Developing Lean capability and maintain standards by organizing Train the trainer sessions and creating annual training plans.
  • Leading and expanding community of practice (skills, process, tooling, and systems) on continuous improvement within the organization fostering pocket of excellence and sharing best practice implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in driving successful continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Fluent in English & Spanish.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability and a passion for driving positive change
  • Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships and become a trusted partner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management and customers.
