About The Role

We are growing a multibillion-dollar business and looking for a Director of Strategy to lead the entry of new markets that leverage competitive advantage or build new capabilities that allow us to compete. You will play a critical role in analyzing market data, facilitating actionable strategy, evaluating business opportunities, and managing initiatives across the organization. You will have a significant opportunity to impact the growth, direction, and future of the IPB Group and will be contributing to the entry of new markets generating $100m+ value within 3-5 years.

What You'll Do

  • Manage our strategic insight process, facilitating cross-functional teams to produce a portfolio of key investment themes
  • Analyze industry and market research to identify attractive investment opportunities within strategic themes
  • Create financial models, scenario comparisons and related analyses to support business cases and determine the valuation of investments
  • Support strategy projects into the execution phase, facilitating internal stakeholders through the initial implementation of strategic initiatives

What You Bring

  • Progressive (8+ years) experience in equity research, strategy, private equity and/or corporate development, including experience in management consulting
  • Experience developing the strategy behind the entry into one new vertical or market and growing core businesses and/or product/service offering
  • Experience analyzing business strategy including customers, competition, and value chain, including the application of qualitative and quantitative market research and insights
  • Strong financial skills including the ability to value a business using DCF and interpret financial statements
  • Practical experience facilitating cross-functional teams to generate value-creating recommendations and translate strategic themes into concrete, actionable plans
  • Influence and the ability to build strong working relationships across the enterprise, including advising and supporting key decision makers
  • Well-developed ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks, and a data driven approach to problem solving

Salary

The expected base salary range for this role is $150,200 to $206,600. Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
