Social Media Marketing Lead

As a Barclays Social Media Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing all existing US Consumer Bank owned social media channels, including new channels in the future. You will also have the opportunity to explore emerging social media channels such as TikTok. Our current platforms include Facebook, Instagram, X, and the Barclays LinkedIn USCB page. The Social Media team supports social media campaigns and efforts of our card partners, providing expertise and governance aligned with all of Barclays control processes.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing vendor contracts and serving as first point of contact for social channel platforms such as Sprinklr
  • Providing creative oversight for the social media component of key launches/refreshes to ensure all communications are clear, cohesive, and will drive increased account volumes
  • Providing enterprise oversight to all USCB Social Media to align with procedures and controls as part of the Social Media framework under the Reputation Risk pillar
  • Ensuring all social media activity is aligned and adherers to social media governance standards and processes
  • Serving as a channel expert and providing guidance to the Social Care team who interface directly with customers through social media
  • Overseeing development of social media that is consistent with Barclays brand and ensure the quality, consistency, and customer-friendliness of all our social media
  • Partnering with Corporate Communications to utilize LinkedIn to elevate thought leadership, drive engagement, attract potential talent and deals, and inspire colleagues
  • Leveraging critical thinking skills and data analysis to drive process improvements to increase productivity, reduce turn times, and exceed campaign targets

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Extensive experience in a major corporation, preferably a credit card bank, supporting marketing and social media strategy and channel management
  • Extensive knowledge of credit card marketing in social media channels
  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end process of social media campaign development and timelines as it relates to hitting business targets and customer engagement metrics

  • Solid experience and an eye for creative execution with detailed knowledge and experience working with social media channels in a highly regulated industry
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and spoken; ability to effectively communicate with business partners and senior leaders
