The Remote Sales Representative will systematically develop, support, and implement growth strategies and initiatives to achieve and exceed business goals within the business through desk-based sales support to the sales team.

The Sales Representative will also be responsible for supporting driven displacement strategies, working with the installed base tools and follow-up all active opportunities to improve revenues from the existing customers. This is a direct sales role where growth and engagement of full portfolio are paramount to success. 

This position is a desk-based position to provide support to the wider sales team across Europe, with the overall objective of growing the product line, within the business. There will also be a requirement to actively work with events and marketing team to promote new sales programs and product developments. 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support our alternative distribution channels (ADC) in growing the business across the ADC network.
  • Pro-active sales follow-up of quotations with the goal of winning the order and see this process through to conclusion of won/lost order.
  • Develop clear strategic growth programs to support future business growth and actively collaborate with internal and external sales teams to increase the business volumes. 
  • Negotiate sales orders within agreed delegation of authority.
  • Contact dormant accounts to re-engage/reactivate the relationship and explore opportunities.
  • Enforce to frame agreements, pricing agreements, legal and trade compliance requirements. 
  • Verify that purchase orders are in accordance with the offered financial and technical proposal and resolve any technical-related/commercial issues that occur during the order cycle.
  • Handle specified account records in CRM including lead management and opportunity follow-up and management. 
  • Identify training needs and define training program for Field Communicator customers.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal and Company requirements with regards to Trade Compliance and

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Proficiency in English and French with a third European language preferred (written and verbal) and excellent communication skills.
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in commercial and sales support activities or in the process automation field for various industries.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate well across a matrix organization.
  • Background and experience in Inside Sales and/or Customer Service equivalent roles 
  • Digital literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrates the Emerson Values.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience of using product and business systems and standard business reporting tools, for example Oracle and CRM systems
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate at both technical and commercial level to resolve customer issues.
  • Experience of developing successful cross functional relationships internally, within a matrix organization advantageous.
