ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Manager, People Business Partner will support the Consumer Revenue organization as it relates to People initiatives, strategies and programs to help drive business results. Under the SVP, Global People Business Partner - Commercial Revenue and Consumer Marketing, the HR Manager will deliver operational, strategic and consultative partnership to internal client groups. The PBP will partner closely with HR market leads, HR COEs, and business leaders to drive initiatives in organizational design, talent acquisition, performance management, talent development, employee engagement, and change management. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to roll up their sleeves and problem-solve anything that comes their way. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build effective and productive working relationships with business leaders, internal stakeholders and clients at all levels of the organization
  • Partner/collaborate with various stakeholders across Conde Nast to align and execute HR strategies in support of business initiatives
  • Oversee effective performance management across the team; continually act as performance improvement consultant
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to identify and hire the best talent into the organization
  • Facilitate the resolution of employee relations issues including those with complex, multi-step solutions, investigations, etc. including organizational and structural changes
  • Proactively identify Talent Management and Learning and Development gaps; partner with the Talent Management COE to propose and implement solutions
  • Work with business leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities
  • Act as an employee advocate and be a champion of our culture, standards and practices
  • Act as a key member of the People function, taking on responsibility and also participating in broader Global People initiatives as appropriate
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues across the People function, globally, to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Own and work closely with cross-functional partners and COEs on important matters such as compensation, performance and talent, L&D, People Operations, etc.
  • Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures to employees and managers
  • Review and analyze data, identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention and engagement

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Established track record of progressive HR experience in complex, global organizations
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and work in a globally matrixed environment
  • Solid business acumen
  • Familiarity with labor and employee relations
  • Exceptional judgement in decision-making
  • Integrity, interpersonal awareness, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets and Powerpoint or Google Slides
  • Familiarity with Workday
  • Highly motivated self-starter 
  • Consultative orientation with an ability to resolve complex problems with creative solutions while also leveraging data to tell a compelling story
  • Process and detail oriented, including strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints
  • Experience in media strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years professional level experience, including HR responsibilities

The expected base salary range for this position is from $105,000- $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
