Junior Business Intelligence Analyst

National Football League (NFL)

The Dallas Cowboys Football Club is seeking a motivated individual who is interested in a career in Information Systems/Business Intelligence. This position will provide an opportunity to develop timely and accurate analysis and reporting while introducing valuable insights to the organization. Our junior analyst will gain hands-on experience and work with internal stakeholders and our Technology staff to execute Business Intelligence initiatives. 

JOB DUTIES

  • Drive the analytic needs of the business by working with key business stakeholders to develop well defined reporting requests that drive business value
  • Build new and enhance current reporting and analytics aimed at providing visibility to the business through the introduction of business intelligence and various metrics
  • Analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations aimed at introducing business efficiencies
  • Scope, research, design, and develop reporting to evaluate various inquiries that may originate from different resources
  • Visually display and summarize discoveries from data analysis in a graphically pleasing, high-level, easy to understand format/presentation
  • Create accurate documentation, which may include business requirements, customer requirements, or technical specifications, that can be utilized in a repeatable process 
  • And other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (earned or in progress)
  • Strong background with Tableau and data visualization
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) required 
  • Knowledge of Alteryx preferred
  • Strong analytical skills along with detail-oriented nature 
  • Interest in data modeling, ETL, and data warehouse initiatives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Desire to collaborate with others
  • Ability to pro-actively anticipate obstacles and create solutions
  • Available to work standard office hours (M-F, 8-5)
  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, extended hours as needed
