Join our team as an iOS Software Engineer in the Mobile Chapter at Optus and play a crucial role in providing high-quality, reliable solutions that impact the lives of millions of people who manage their data, device, and network through the My Optus App.

As a creative and analytical problem solver, you will take up any challenge with an agility mindset towards software development. You will be responsible for participating in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products while working with the latest toolkit like SwiftUI, Combine and Async/Await.

Our Mobile Chapter team is the brains behind Australia's number one telco app and is spread across several business units within Optus. What your day looks like

  • Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products.
  • Monitor and modify development work to ensure the resulting software meets established goals while advising junior developers on best methods of software development and code creation.
  • Translating business requirements to working deliverables supported by appropriate levels of testing and documentation.
  • Advocate for new technology approaches and have the experience to understand the architectural integration of software solutions.
  • Drive outcomes for our customers – and one another – that deliver the Optus vision.

Skills to pay the bills!

  • 2-3 years’ experience in designing, developing, and deploying high quality native iOS applications using latest version of Swift.
  • Solid Unit and UI Test automation experience with XCTest.
  • Good understanding of Apple Human Interface guidelines and mobile user interface design.
  • Good understanding of Xcode tools, Appstore Connect, application provisioning, Development Certificate management and App distribution.
  • Good understanding of Object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and patterns.
