Synopsis of the role

As a Senior Product Manager at Equifax Canada, you will focus on the development and implementation of the strategic plan for a Cloud Native B2B Data and Insights business with close relationships to the market for awareness of market needs. The role is responsible for maximizing the growth opportunities within the Consumer Line of Business via a strong and comprehensive product portfolio strategy developed from proactive market engagement and leveraging the competitive advantages of our technology platform/capabilities.

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for developing and executing on strategic product plans that will support full life-cycle product management including strategic direction, revenue and profitability performance and new product innovation leadership. Other key responsibilities include understanding and influencing company strategic direction, direct engagement with the marketplace to gather high quality voice of customer and voice of market, and executing on a long-term product portfolio strategy, inclusive of promotions, pricing and channel management.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for life-cycle management of a portfolio of products via a strong and comprehensive product portfolio strategy and product evolution based on market and segment needs, including: 
  • Development and execution of a comprehensive product portfolio plan, including the utilization of channels, pricing and promotions to maximize growth through penetration of targeted market segments and respond to competitive products and services
  • Discover and validate market problems (both existing and future customers)
  • Seek new market opportunities by leveraging the company’s distinctive competence
  • Provide oversight of strategy, while collaborating to ensure technical, and marketing aspects align for all products in the portfolio
  • Create and maintain the business plan with active participation in New Product Innovation process – from concept to market delivery
  • Define key measurements of product line performance and success criteria. Support tracking efforts and provide market data for the analysis of each segment of the product line
  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans in conjunction with Marketing team including the creation of supporting collateral and product launch plans 
  • Work with Sales, Sales Performance, Consulting Services and Pricing to develop and achieve product revenue and profitability objectives

What Experience you need

  • Minimum 10+ years’ of experience in product management in a B2B segment environment, strategic planning role(s) in a complex business environment
  • Exceptional business acumen
  • Strong project management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
