Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and management of an autonomous navigation system. This role involves working with cameras, lidars, radars, and compute platform systems throughout their life cycles. As a Systems Engineer, you will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure systems meet technical, operational, and system requirements while upholding quality, safety, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Define, analyze, and manage system-level requirements and architecture.
• Develop and maintain system specifications, interface definitions, and design documentation.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive system development.
• Lead or support system integration, verification, validation, and testing.
• Utilize trade studies, modeling, and simulations to guide design decisions.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the system development life cycle.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and automotive regulations.
• Participate in design and technical reviews and support customer and stakeholder engagements.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a systems engineering or cross-disciplinary engineering role.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience working with sensors such as cameras, radars, LiDAR, IMU, and ECU.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Autonomous Vehicle or Automotive sectors is preferred.

Work Environment

This role requires working in the office 5 days a week, either in Bellevue, WA or Santa Clara, CA. The position involves direct collaboration with vendors for product development. The candidate will be part of a high visibility team focused on developing new autonomous vehicle technology, and must be comfortable working independently within a two-person team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
