The Role

Wonderful Agency is the full-service agency in West LA that supports all the brands under The Wonderful Company portfolio (Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds, FIJI Water, POM Wonderful, Halos [mandarins], JUSTIN Wine, Landmark Vineyards and Teleflora.) We're seeking a full-time Assistant Media Planner/Buyer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lay a career foundation in media that will expose you to all facets of the process. Exposure to all media, across multiple categories for our brands adds up to the best training ground available in this industry.  

Our Assistant Media Planners/Buyers assist the Media team in all facets of advertising placement; researching, strategizing, documenting and executing media plans. Unlike most industry entry-level positions, this hire will learn and assist both planning and buying functions.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Forge relationships with media sales community.
  • Research magazine circulation trends.
  • Creative brainstorming to identify potential consumer touch points.
  • Develop and issue insertion orders.
  • Confirm media has run and check positioning.
  • Translate TV buys into digital tracking and trafficking system and manage the ongoing buy with both the TV buyer and outside TV sales forces.
  • Facilitate and track billing/payment process.
  • Investigate online and offline media opportunities.
  • Select high-profile outdoor advertising locations.
  • Assist with secondary research on demographics and media usage.
  • Partner with other departments for online ad trafficking and reporting.​​​​

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • Four year degree. Advertising and Marketing degree not mandated, but highly considered.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Interest in advertising and marketing.
  • Awareness of current trends.
  • Basic math skills with attention to detail are required.
  • Self-disciplined, energetic and motivated.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Ability to apply past learning/experiences to new projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
