Job Summary:

The Sr Internal Auditor is responsible for leading and executing complex operational audits across the health system. This role evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, internal controls, and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations. The position operates independently under general direction and supports the development and execution of the annual internal audit plan and enterprise risk management program.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 5 years of Internal Audit, Public Accounting, or related experience is required.

Healthcare auditing experience is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field is required.

Advanced degree in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Knowledge of COSO, IIA Standards, the IPPF, and internal audit methodologies.

Understanding of healthcare operations and risk areas.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and audit management tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of an audit team.

Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.

Strong analytical thinking, discernment, and problem-solving skills.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
