  • Underground Storage Tank Operator A Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Basic office/computer skills

Position Summary

This is manual and clerical work related to the care and maintenance of motor vehicles and associated equipment. The work involves re-fueling, inspection, cleaning and customer service as part of fueling and rental operations. Minor preventive maintenance such as topping off fluids, changing wiper blades, checking tires and reporting repair concerns are some of the routine tasks performed by the garage attendant. The garage attendant performs work under the general supervision of the rental fleet coordinator.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Knowledge of materials/product receiving and document processing.
  • Knowledge of general motor vehicle care and maintenance.
  • Basic office/computer skill.
  • Knowledge of work place safety and best practices.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards related to petroleum storage and dispensing.
  • Knowledge of environmental storm drain protection.

Physical Demands

  • Stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop and squat routinely throughout the work day.
  • Climb in and out of vehicles routinely throughout the work day.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs safely.
  • Tolerate and perform work safely under various weather/climatic conditions such as cold, heat, rain, and snow.
  • Driving to perform job related duties.
