Job Description

In this role, you will take ownership of creating and validating technical documentation as well as developing detailed 2D harness designs in XC. You will collaborate with global OEMs, support RFQ activities for Data Cables and play an active part in international project teams. Your contribution will directly influence LEONI’s technical roadmap, process optimisation and overall customer satisfaction. Occasional travel to customer sites (UK, France) will help you understand the technical context and resolve issues faster.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Create, update and validate technical drawings and documentation
• Develop 2D harness designs in XC from concept to release
• Support global RFQ processes for Data Cables
• Analyse and recommend ‘Make vs Buy’ approaches
• Lead daily engineering problem-solving
• Maintain structured communication with internal and external customers
• Coordinate interfaces and dependencies within international project teams
• Provide expertise to wider LEONI functions and customers
• Report to the central Data Cables team and contribute to LEONI’s technical roadmap
• Improve and optimise processes in your area

Qualifications

What do we expect from you?

• Technical education (mechanical engineering preferred; production experience is a plus)
• Active English communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for working with structured engineering data
• Strong technical mindset, precision, accountability, and attention to detail
• Experience with 2D design tools; minimum 2 years in a relevant engineering/design role (preferred)
• Comfortable working independently and within a global team; adaptable to changing priorities
• Motivation to grow into a technical expert and contribute across multiple business areas

Basic gross guaranteed salary: from 1650 EUR/Brutto +13th salary The final basic wage component will be adjusted to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
