Job Description:

  • Engage business users to define the requirements and design for a new, best-in-class, payments platform.
  • Application development, prototyping, and high-level technical consulting.
  • Work closely with team members and business partners to develop cutting edge technology solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Predict effects of configuration changes; identify application bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize performance.
  • Support issue resolution and completion of ad-hoc requests in support of business partners within the Investments & Capital Markets division.
  • Work with product team and business users to refine system requirements.
  • Design, develop, and enhance payments functionality based on J2EE technologies and frameworks, including Spring Boot.
  • Implement RESTful web services.
  • Build user interfaces using Angular and proprietary Legolas frameworks.
  • Design and implement comprehensive test scripts leveraging JUnit and Fitnesse.
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities flagged by SAST, FOSS, BSC, and Infrastructure Vulnerability scans.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily standups, refinement meetings, sprint and program increment planning.
  • Provide production support for deployed application functionality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Position is eligible for part-time telecommuting.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent* in computer science or a closely related field with five (5) years of progressively responsible software engineering experience. Experience must include:

  • 5 years of experience in IT design, development, integration, and testing of software solutions based on J2EE technologies in an agile environment.
  • 5 years of experience with relational databases including Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, and/or DB2.
  • 3 years of experience developing RESTful web services using Spring Boot.
  • 2 years of experience developing front-end GUIs using Angular 2 or higher.
  • 2 years of experience with managing, building, and deploying code through tools including Eclipse, GIT, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins.
  • 2 years of experience designing and executing JUnit test cases using Mockito framework based on business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Will accept educational equivalency evaluation prepared by a qualified evaluation service.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $130,000 - $196,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
