The Opportunity:

EBOS Group have an exciting new opportunity for a Sustainability Manager to join the finance team. This is a pivotal role in advancing EBOS Group’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) agenda by combining your financial acumen, analytical rigour, and sustainability expertise.

Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will also support the development, implementation, and reporting of ESG strategies, with a focus initially on Climate reporting, ensuring compliance with emerging regulatory frameworks such as the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS).

The role also integrates climate-related metrics into financial planning, operational decision-making, and corporate governance.

What you will do:

  • ESG Disclosures and Sustainability Reporting;
  • Integrate climate risk assessment outputs into in financial planning;
  • Manage climate data collation and assurance processes;
  • Strategic sustainability initiatives;
  • ESG risk management;
  • Reporting and advisory support;

What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline (CA/CPA highly regarded);
  • Experience in climate, ESG or sustainability reporting, ideally within a listed or complex business environment;
  • Demonstrated success in integrating climate programs into financial planning and risk management;
  • Experience with ESG/climate data platforms and assurance processes;
  • Strong understanding of ESG or environmental frameworks and reporting standards (e.g. ASRS, AASB S2, IFRS SDS, TCFD, SBTi, GRI, SASB, ISO14001);
  • Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with proficiency in Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) well regarded;
  • Experience managing large data sets and ensuring data integrity for audit and assurance purposes;
  • Aility to translate complex ESG data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations;
  • Professional certifications such as GRI, TCFD, PRINCE2, well regarded;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing board-ready reports and disclosures;
  • Sound judgement in balancing sustainability priorities with commercial outcomes;
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines;
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, continuous improvement, and innovation.
