The pharmacist in charge is accountable for regulatory compliance of Federal and State agencies, while managing the provision of pharmaceutical care, staff, and work flow processes for the pharmacy department in Waltham MA.

Responsibilities

  • Effective implementation of care and process changes
  • Clear and concise department communications
  • Consistent and updated human resource management
  • General operations workflow coordination
  • Orientation, training, staff development and management
  • Developing and implementing of Policies and Procedures, Standards of Practice (SOP) and Best Practices
  • Compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and accrediting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by Woodmark Pharmacy
  • Budgetary workflows and outcomes
  • Financial responsibilities
  • Complete and successful third party audits
  • Negotiations with vendors and customers
  • Professional standards set forth by Woodmark Pharmacy

Qualifications

  • BS in Pharmacy required, Pharm D preferred
  • 5 years Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred
  • 3 years Supervisory or Management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist guidelines for practice, state and federal regulations, and drug indicators for long term care centers
