Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder with a valid 6G welding certification and proficiency in SMAW (Stick Welding). The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding pipes in various positions, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform pipe welding in 6G position using Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
Prepare and align pipes for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting.
Conduct visual inspections and ensure weld quality meets standards.
Maintain welding equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
Work in confined spaces and at heights as required by project conditions.
Qualifications
Valid 6G Welding Certification (SMAW).
Minimum 3+ years of pipe welding experience in industrial or construction settings.
Ability to weld carbon steel and alloy pipes.
Strong understanding of welding codes and standards.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in challenging environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience with high-pressure piping systems.
Knowledge of GTAW or GMAW as secondary processes.
Familiarity with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
