Job Title: QA Technical Writer

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced QA Technical Writer to draft and review Laboratory Investigation Reports (LIRs) in response to laboratory deviations, Out of Specification (OOS) results, and non-conformances. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with analysts, Quality Assurance (QA) teams, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather essential data and ensure the accuracy and compliance of documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review LIRs in response to laboratory deviations, OOS results, and non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with analysts, QA, and SMEs to gather data and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and document corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Ensure LIRs meet regulatory and internal standards, including FDA, cGMP, and ICH guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • Proven expertise in technical writing within a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing LIRs and CAPA documentation.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, or Biochemistry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory or QA environment.
  • Experience in writing Laboratory Investigation Reports (LIRs).
  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations, OOS investigations, and CAPA processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00/hr.
