Overview

• This position will be physically located in The Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP***

Primary duty is to manage, operate and repair HVAC Systems. Will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on HVAC systems. Shall ensure that all machinery, electrical systems, and piping shall function as intended to make the HVAC systems operate properly. #LI-TM1

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

• Manage and assign the workforce to complete Preventative and Corrective maintenance on all HVAC systems on required warehouses and other facilities.
• Perform the daily workload analysis of the maintenance, repair package, and sufficient to conduct un-forecasted repairs, and to ensure continuity of service.
• Will accomplish and will also oversee LN workforce utilizing hand and power tools such as oxy/acetylene torches, tapping machines, drills and charging systems as examples and will be responsible to ensure all safety practices are being utilized.
• Will develop a plan to present to the Facilities Maintenance Manager which will lay out a plan of action to provide services for coverage within 24 hours of a malfunction or service interruption that is found or reported via a submitted work order.
• Establish, maintain and reorder required bench stock of materials to ensure immediate repairs are completed on all HVAC systems on required warehouses and other facilities.
• Shall perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
  • Must possess an active Universal Freon Certificate
  • High School Diploma: Associates/Bachelors is preferred.
  • Must have Prior HVAC experience handling HVAC Systems is a must.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Experience:
  • Must have a minimal of 8 years of hands-on experience with HVAC systems
  • Must have a minimal of 3 years of experience as a Lead, Supervisor, or manager to be able to manage a HVAC workforce
  • Incumbents must demonstrate a high degree of English comprehension, including speaking, understanding, reading, writing, and typing. Must be capable of speaking clearly to an audience and provide Government presentations.
• Skills:
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the Supervision of all OCN (Other Country National) HVAC Technicians
• Working Conditions:
  • The worker is subject to Tropical weather. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with adverse and harsh conditions.
  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
