As a Web User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) Designer, you will predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them. The Web User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) Designer is essential to solving unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business. The Web User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) Designer position is responsible for participating in the development of business strategy.

As part of the User Experience (UX) team, the Web User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) Designer will predominantly be involved in building business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. The Web User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) Designer will stretch his/her skills and grow careers as a primary contributor in visual designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with the established specifications and business requirements in order to deliver business value.

Additional responsibilities of the Web User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) Designer

include:

  • Design, develop and manage business plans to achieve objectives for enterprise, B2B, or B2C ensuring consistency and high quality across all digital platforms
  • Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes of easy to navigate user interfaces (UI) that consist of web pages with graphics, icons and color schemes that are visually appealing
  • Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
  • Influence UX team members to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches
  • Be part of cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams
  • Maintain Applications/Platforms

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience years of relevant work experience (with degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design or related field)
  • A thorough understanding of user-centered design methodologies and processes, including but not limited to, usability testing, persona creation and customer research experience
  • Ability to identify opportunities for change, ideate on concepts, advocate for the needs of our customers, and lead design from empathy to iteration to deliver human-centered solutions
  • Fluent with high-fidelity design, sketching, and prototyping tools, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Sketch, or other similar programs
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Jquery, and Bootstrap or equivalent framework
  • Online portfolio that shows strong foundation in visual design skills (typography, graphic design, layout, color, etc.) and reflects clean, intuitive, and functional design

Preferred Skills:

  • Good understanding of iOS and Android interface design and fundamental patterns along with web
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design for multiple devices
  • Experience with usability testing, focus groups, user acceptance testing, heat mapping, usage/performance metrics
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

Education:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Science or equivalent practical experience
