As a leading civil-aerospace company in China, Joint Venture HonFei Flight Control Technology is seeking for strong candidates for the positions of Lead System Engineer who reports to JV HonFei engineering leadership.
The selected individual will be responsible for leading all aspects of Control Systems product, in particularly Flight Control System development, system integration, system/software development, verification/test and system evaluation of the locally developed changes, and leading into certification. Furthermore, the selected candidate will build and manage several strong engineering teams, direct technology, define and drive technology improvement and enable roadmap, manage and coach engineers, and guide engineer’s career development, performance, and productivity issues.
The position requires up to 3 years of expatriate assignment in Xi’an, China.
BS, MS, or PhD in a science or engineering field or related discipline
Minimum 8 years of related experience in research, development or new product design
Demonstrated experience with technical problem solving skills, with multitasking, and ability to perform in an environment with dynamic priorities and varying work tasks.
Demonstrated experience working with external and internal partners, including OEM/Airliners.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels (up / down / parallel).
Lead and participate Request for Proposal (RFP), and Technical review of RFPs. Estimate change orders and scope of work assessment.
Motivated self-starter, with strong ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Commit to aggressive goals and win with a can-do attitude, and a strong sense of urgency.
Respect cultural diversity and sensitivity, and agility in learn, improvement, and innovation.
Proven track record of strong systems engineering background with demonstrated understanding of all phases of flight control product development.
Evaluating Flight Test performance and data acquisition.
Preferred, but not required skill: Highly motivated by creating products across software, hardware, and electrical disciplines, build and participate autonomous vehicle R&D (UAV).
