Summary: ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC). We are looking for a General Maintenance Worker to join our team.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work
- Replace electrical receptacles, wires, bulbs, ballast, switches, fixtures, and motors
- Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
- Repair or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets
- Paint structures and equipment
- Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
- Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles
- Hang doors and install door locks
- Perform Preventive Maintenance on exhaust fans, emergency lighting, HVAC equipment, water coolers, pumps, facility operating equipment
- Performing general maintenance on equipment and facility infrastructure
- Crawl under and work on the topside of buildings as needed to make repairs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have 2 years of recent experience as a General Maintenance Worker
- High School diploma/GED preferred
- Must be a US Citizen and posses a valid US Passport or REAL ID
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate motor vehicles
- Must be able to lift 30lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Clear and effective written and communication skills
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical
