What you’ll do:

The Quality Analyst role is responsible in implementing and maintaining quality systems, ensuring product and process compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical in maintaining high quality standards in electronics process control instruments and surge protection devices manufacturing catering to harsh and hazardous area applications, ensuring customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

  • Support in developting and implementing quality assurance strategies and policies.
  • Lead quality planning for new product development/introduction and engineering changes.
  • Oversee inspection and testing of electronic components, Printed Circuit Board assemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards (e.g., IEC, IPC, FM, CSA, UL, ATEX), and customer requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
  • Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 80079-34 and other applicable standards.
  • Prepare for and support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Ensure compliance with ATEX/IECEx/FM/CSA/UL, RoHS, CE, and other relevant certifications.
  • Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Generate quality reports and dashboards for management.
  • Apply tools such as SPC, FMEA, and control charts for process optimization.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, procurement, and customer service teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and reliability.
  • Coordinate with customers, product line managers to resolve customer complaints.

Qualifications:

  • Education - Bachelor of Electrical/Electronics Engg or Electronics & Communications Engg Or Electronics & Instrumentation Engg
  • Experience - Minimum 10 years of Quality Assurance experience in electrical and/or electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of problem solving methods-i.e. Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects.
  • Detailed knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (i.e., ISO9001, ISO/IEC 80079-34 (ATEX, IECEx), FM, CSA, UL, etc).
  • Lead audits and have detailed knowledge of auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements.
  • Experience in performing Quality Audits.
  • Experience of leading PFMEAs.
  • Detailed understanding of the key phases and requirements of an effective new product development/introduction and launch methodology.
  • Detailed knowledge of product and end user application/specifications, including product testing requirements. (design/process interface).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma capability studies, MSA) concepts and tool sets as they relate to process/product variability, and root cause and corrective action determination.
  • Knowledge of assembly operations, gauging, SPC, etc.
  • Ability to Supervise and direct other departmental personnel for specified tasks assigned by management
  • Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Knowledge and understanding of APQP, PAPP requirements.
  • Experience using PC configured with MS Windows OS. Familiarity with MS Office software.
  • Working knowledge in SAP - QM is desired.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr.) is preferred.
  • Having successfully completed Six Sigma Green Belt training would be an advantage.
